KSFHP Calendar Illustrations

The Kansas Statewide Farmworker Health Program, a part of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, is a health assistance program for low-income migrant and seasonal agriculture workers in Kansas. Each year, KSFHP distributes illustrated calendars to the people they serve. They function as a calendar, a business card, and as a quick health tip/reminder specific to their work life.

Because their audience is largely composed of English, Spanish, Low-German and Chuukese-speaking families from a variety of cultural backgrounds, the biggest challenge with these calendars each year is to visually communicate the message without relying too heavily on language or cultural norms.
